Prices of fruits, vegetables remain stable in federal capital

Islamabad - The prices of fruits and vegetables overall remained stable with minor fluctuation in some items in the federal capital.

According to the Islamabad Market Committee price list issued here Wednesday, the prices of various fruits and vegetables showed no major difference from the price list of the previous week.

According to price list, potato sold at Rs 36 per kilogram, Onion Rs 29, Tomato Rs 66, Ginger Rs 128, Garlic (China) Rs 292, Garlic Local 300, Lemon Rs 62, Lady Finger Rs 85, Green Zucchini Rs 84, Pumpkin Rs 33, Brinjal Rs 35, Peas Rs 75, Fresh Bean Rs 56, Tinda Walaiti (Imported gourd small) Rs 40, Cucumber Rs 35, Capsicum Rs 88/60, Green Chilli Rs 57, Cauliflower Rs 20/14, Cabbage Rs 45, Bitter Gourd Rs 88/64, Spinach Rs 18/14, Radish Rs 14, Turnip Rs 24, Yam Rs 66, Maroo Rs 30, Carrot Rs 41, Chicken Rs 115 and Egg per dozen Rs 130. Likewise, the rates of fruits per kilogram of high and medium quality in Islamabad are as follows: Apple (kala kalo) Rs 122/90, Apple Golden Rs 88/60, Apple White Rs 78/60, Apple China Rs 155/125, Banana Pak Rs 78/46, Grapes Toffee Rs 152/130, Guava 60/35, Pomegranate Rs 150/110, Musumi Shakri Rs 98/70, Kino Rs 75/45, Fruiter Rs 74/40, Pear China Rs 140/120.

The people are asked to ensure that they are sold vegetables and fruits as per rate list and inform authorities at 051-4867762 in case of any compliant against shopkeepers.
