20 ghost cops identified in Islamabad police

Islamabad - SSP Sajid Kiani has dismissed an assistant sub-inspector (ASI) of Noon police station for misusing his authority and accepting bribe while another ASI of Golra police station has been suspended for sluggish performance, police spokesman said on Thursday.
He said that SSP Islamabad Sajid Kiani dismissed ASI Mehboob Hussain for misusing his authority and accepting bribe while ASI Golra police station Talat Mehmud has been suspended for showing sluggish performance.
The SSP has directed all police officials to perform honestly and shun sluggish attitude; otherwise strict disciplinary action would be taken against them.
Furthermore, Islamabad police have identified around 20 ghost officials who used to bribe concerned Moharrar (clerks) for not discharging their duty. All the employees were attached with security division. A clerk has also been suspended while action against 20 officials is being taken, the police said.
Meanwhile, SSP Sajid Kiani has directed all police officials to ensure foolproof security arrangements in the city in the month of Ramazan, especially at Tarveeh and Namaz timings. He directed all heads of police stations to ensure foolproof security arrangements in their respective areas. He asked senior police officials to monitor security duties while Falcon Vehicles, teams of QRF and Bravo Vehicles will ensure patrolling in the assigned areas.
Policemen will also perform duty at busy shopping centres and public places to keep an eye on car-lifters and criminals while special police teams will also guard entry as well as exit points of the city.
