ISLAMABAD: Minister for Planning and Development Ahsan Iqbal has said the government has allocated huge funds for completion of Western route of China Pakistan Economic Corridor (CPEC).
In a statement, he said up to 22 billion rupees have been allocated for Burhan-Hakla route.
He said the 285-kilometer motorway project to connect Dera Ismail Khan to Hakla area will be completed in two years at a cost of over 129 billion rupees.
He said five billion have been allocated for Gwadar-Turbat-Hoshab section and four billion for Hoshab-Nag-Basima-Surba section of Western route of CPEC.
He said work on the Western route is in full swing and Gwadar-Surab Section will be completed by December 2016 while DI Khan section will be completed by July 2018.
The minister said the government is determined to completing the Western on priority basis by providing all the required funds for it.
