ISLAMABAD - Two boys were drowned in a hole dug for the construction of metro bus project in the federal capital on Tuesday.
The incident took place near Peshawar Mor where workers had dug a road for the construction of the project and that was filled with rainwater.
Jawad, 14, and Fawad, 9, son of Ayoub who went to buy something from market were drowned in the hole. They were shifted by the workers to the Pakistan Institute of Medical Sciences and Shifa International Hospital where they were pronounced dead.
The PIMS officials said that such incidents took place before as well, causing several casualties due to construction of this project.
People complained that the hole should be filled after competition of work as they cause inconvenience to public.
