Chairman Standing Committee on Education Abid Sher Ali has taken notice of violence against students' protesting in Lahore against the proposed privatization of educational institutions, whereas he blamed election commission being on government's payroll. During conversation with The Online News Agency on Monday, he demanded to arrest Chief Election Commissioner Hamid Ali Mirza in violation of apex court's orders related to fake degrees. He said parliamentarians holding fake degrees have defamed parliament in world. They must be hanged, he demanded. He termed election commission has failed in fulfilling its constitutional obligations and is voluntarily using delaying tactics in fake degrees issue. He said elected parliamentarians holding fake degrees are the responsible for defecting society. While commenting on privatization of educational institutions, he said report from Punjab Education Secretary has been sought in and after analyzing the report, standing committee will draft out its recommendations.
