Azadi March to follow protocol and revert peacefully

ISLAMABAD - The government circles have claimed that there would be no baton charge during Azadi March by the PTI (Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf) in Islamabad and services of Pakistan Army would not be sought to control law and order situation.

On its part, the PTI has reportedly signaled to the government that it would keep its Azadi March peaceful. Imran Khan will address the Azadi March and after disclosing his future strategy, he would leave.

The government will issue instructions to police and Rangers to ensure security for the participants of Azadi March and incase there is any incitement, the security forces will remain patient.

Also, the government has decided not to handle the Azadi March through the army. According to the government, the 14th August Army parade is aimed at giving a solidarity message to those at the forefront.
