Security on Chand Raat, Eid Day a concern

RAWALPINDI - City Police Officer (CPO) Rawalpindi Rao Mohammad Iqbal Khan, Saturday, held a high-level meeting on security arrangements at Eidul Fitr. SSP (Operations) Yaseen Farooq, all SPs, DSPs of the district police participated in the meeting. In the meeting, Chand Raat and Eid Day were declared crucial as security point of view. CPO Rawalpindi on the occasion directed deployment of maximum police force during the above-said period of time. Moreover, Murree Road, Commercial Centre, Raby Center, Moti Bazaar, Lal Kurti, Scheme III, Gujar Khan, Taxila and Kahotas main shopping centers have also been identified as sensitive places. CPO Rawalpindi ordered to put all possible security measures at these places. He also requested general public to keep eye on lawbreakers and to cooperate with law-enforcement agencies. In this regard, all mosques, Imam Bargahs and religious places would also be covered by deployment of large police force. Meanwhile, Regional Police Officer (RPO) Aslam Tareen and CPO Rao Mohammad Iqbal Khan decorated Chief Traffic Officer (CTO) Dr. Akhtar Abbas with promotion pips in a rank ceremony held at CPO office Rawalpindi. CPO Rawalpindi said that honest and intelligent police officers were an asset for police service. He added that Akhtar Abbas CTO Rawalpindi was working hard to improve Traffic management in the city.
