Prime Minister Syed Yousuf Raza Gilani has appointed M.M. Usmani as the new Chairman of Pakistan Steel Mills. According to an official announcement, the new chairman has been appointed for one year. According to sources, M.M. Usmani was retired from civil service in 1994 before he served as chairman of Sindh Public Service Commission (SPSC) for five years. The Prime Minister, a few days ago, sacked PSM chairman Moin Aftab on charges of corruption and ordered Interior Ministry to launch an inquiry.
