PM forms body to observe I-Day ceremonies

ISLAMABAD - Prime Minister Muhammad Nawaz Sharif has constituted a special five-member cabinet committee to observe ceremonies regarding the Independence Day.
According to Prime Minister media section, the committee will be led by Railways Minister Khawaja Saad Rafique while Information Minister Pervaiz Rasheed, Minister for Inter-Provincial Coordination Riaz Hussain Pirzada, Minister of State for Petroleum and Natural resources Jam Kamal Khan and Special Assistant of Prime Minister Irfan Siddiqui will be its members.
The countrywide ceremonies from August 1 to 14 have been dedicated to martyrs of Tehreek-e-Pakistan and war against terrorism. The cabinet committee will finalise programmes regarding the Independence Day but will also work for coordination among the federal ministries and provincial governments.
