Iran's cheap power supply project to boost ties

OKARA President Chambers of Commerce and Industries Ch Mohammad Arshad Iqbal has said the power supply of 2200 mega watts by Iran to Pakistan at the rate of Rs6 to Rs7 was highly encouraging and praiseworthy. It was a vivid proof of good relations between the two countries that would further strengthen the relations between both the countries. Addressing a press conference here Saturday, he said that Islamabad should pay heed to the statement of Iranian Ambassador for offering this support and take action on immediate basis in this regard. Pakistani rulers were not responding positively to Iranian offer that could be harmful for existing crisis. He urged the government to accept the said offer that would help boost economy of the country.
