ISLAMABAD - Former -Chairman Senate Farooq H. Naek paid a farewell call on President Asif Ali Zardari at Aiwan-e-Sadr on Tuesday. 
Farooq thanked the President, the Parliament, the party and the government for reposing confidence in him by nominating him first as Chairman Senate and later by supporting him in discharging his duties. 
He said that he will continue to serve the party with the same devotion and commitment now as Senator and a professional lawyer.
The President lauded his services as Chairman Senate and appreciated his role in not only ensuring smooth running of the legislative business but also for his valuable contributions in passing of the important legislations during his tenure.
The President said that his tenure as Chairman Senate will be remembered as the one that restored the 1973 constitution into its original form, bringing about 19th and 20th Constitutional amendments and the passage of women related and other important legislations.
