Chief Justice of Pakistan Justice Iftikhar Muhammed Chaudhry Thursday said a higher judiciary judge cannot be appointed on the recommendation by a governor, as governor is not aware of judiciarys professionalism. A 14-member larger bench headed by CJ Chaudhry heard the case of Judge Bin Yamin, who was removed from Sindh High Court. During the hearing, the CJ said it is not governors job to recommend the appointment of a judge and in this connection, the role of governor has been specified in Al-Jehad Trust Case. He further said a governor does not know what is professionalism; it may happen in future that a governor recommends the appointment of any other as judge.
