ISLAMABAD - Workers of PTA have sacrificed their lives and their would not only give financial help to their families, worth millions, lucrative jobs at Minhaj-ul-Quran but would also make arrangements for free education of their children, The Nation has learnt Wednesday.
At least 13 workers of PAT had got killed and over 100 were sustained injuries during the clashes with Punjab police in Model Town Lahore. The Punjab police had launched the operation, on the directions of the government for removal of barricades in front of the Minahaj-ul-Quran headquarters in Model Town. In addition, three PAT workers were killed during sit-in in the federal capital.
The sources in the PAT told this scribe that on the directions PAT chief Dr. Tahir-ul- Qadri, details of the workers who had lost their lives have been collected and a decision has been taken to provide compensation and jobs to their family members at Minhaj ul-Quran.
The sources said PAT distributed bulk of money among all effected families of Model Town and Islamabad incidents equally and hired one family member of their families in the seminary.
Talking to The Nation, President of PAT Raheeq Abbasi confirmed these development.
He said that that the MUQ administration and PAT leadership have decided not to disclose the exact figure of compensation money.
Raheeq said PAT would also provide house accommodation to those families who had lost their bread earners.
Raheeq Abbasi cleared that PAT would not accept any compensation money by Punjab or federal government and it would also facilitate effected families itself.
