Baloch’s services for Saraiki literature lauded

rawalpindi - Renowned intellectual and Chairman World Saraiki Congress, Dr Gazanfar Mehdi has said that Imran Ali Baloch’s services for promotion of Saraiki language and literature are unprecedented. He said that due to his struggle Saraiki language and literature has been recognised worldwide and it is need of the hour to chalk out a comprehensive policy for promotion of Saraiki language. He was addressing at a condolence reference held at Rawalpindi Arts Council (RAC) in memory of famous Saraiki intellectual and social worker Umer Ali Khan Baloch.
The ceremony was arranged by Islamabad Crescent Lions Club and World Saraiki Congress in cooperation with RAC. The speakers were columnist Shakir Hussain Shakir, Nayyar Sarhadi, Sabtain Raza Lodhi, Dr Sajid Khakwani, Amir Opel and Sajjad Khan who paid rich tribute to Baloch.
