ISLAMABAD-The ‘Long Marches’ have lead to a daily financial loss of Rs 150 billion to the national economy and have rendered a large number of daily-wagers jobless across the country.
Chief Executive, Trade Development Authority Pakistan (TDAP) S.M.Munir said thousands of factories have altogether been closed down in the wake of a volatile political situation in the country.
Expressing concern over the current political impasse, he said that the national economy had already been suffering badly.
It is high time for all political parties, especially the opposition, to resolve political issues and differences strictly in accordance with democratic values, by holding parleys in the larger national interest, he concluded.
