ISLAMABAD - A spectacular dance performance and musical evening was organised here on Thursday night enthralled the audience comprising diplomats, socialites, music lovers and families from the twin cities.
The event, arranged by the Islamabad Marriott Hotel in collaboration with the Mausikaar Welfare Trust on the elegant environment of the hotel premises, has emerged as a regular feature of the music and kathak dance-starved federal capital for the couple of years. The show was opened by two young classical singers, aged nine and ten respectively - a performance that kept the audience mesmerised.
The highlight of the evening was Nighat Chaudry's tremendous classical dance, which received many accolades from the audience. Her name is indelibly linked with Kathak dance in Pakistan and all over the world. On the occasion, Jan Verduyn, the GM of the hotel, appreciated the audience for attending the event.
In the his remarks, Mausikaar President Dr. Seema Khan also said a few words about the artistes and thanked all those who made her programme a success.
