Govt planned dismissal of ex-SSP Islamabad earlier

Disobeying orders

Islamabad - Former Senior Superintendent Police (SSP) Operations of the federal capital Muhammad Ali Nekokara’s dismissal from services was planned right from the day of his suspension as his salary was withheld after his refusal to obey the orders and use force against protesters of PTI and PAT, The Nation has learnt.
Sources in the Establishment Division informed The Nation that authorised officer Foreign Secretary Aizaz Chaudhary had called Nekokara for personal hearing only one day before the visit of Indian foreign secretary to Pakistan on March 3.
Sources said that the case of Nekokara was not given due importance as foreign secretary was busy with regard to Indian foreign secretary’s visit. “The appointment of foreign secretary as authorised officer of this case was another unlawful act under the rules of Civil Services. According to the rules, the authorised officer of this case should be DMG or PSP officer,” they.
A senior officer in the Establishment Division told that Establishment Division took another illegal step in this case and stopped he salary of Nekokara when notification to make him Officer on Special Duty (OSD) was issued.
He said that Establishment Division did not issue any show cause notice to Nekokara for suspension of salary. He said that it was very clear in this case from day one that the government would take serious action against Nekokara.
He said that it was surprise for him when he learnt that foreign secretary was busy in the hearing of Nekoakro before the one day visit of Indian foreign secretary’s key visit.
“Secretary Establishment Division Nadeem Hassan Aisf provided chance to Nekokara for personal hearing single time and asked him as to why he ignored the orders of higher authorities, saying it was a golden opportunity for him to use the force and get closer to government,” he added. Sources informed that Secretary Establishment has approved the summary of Nekokara’s dismissal from service but the notification is not issued so far.
