ISLAMABAD - Usman Sadiq grabbed another gold medal for Pakistan in the ongoing 4th South Asian Shooting Championship on Sunday here at Gun Club, Pakistan Sports Complex while India lifted six gold medals to reach at the top on the medals tally. Hosts, Pakistani shooters are crawling behind the visitors with three gold, three silver and three bronzes on the end of the day-2 disciplines. Usman Sadiq claimed the gold in the individual event of Trap by scoring 112 points followed by Indian shooter Birendeep Sodhi, who could made only 105 scores. Anwar Sultan also from India grabbed bronze medal with 103 points. Green shirts also claimed three silvers in the team events of different three disciplines. Indian shooters showed a shining performance and got six gold medals out of seven disciplines of the day. They proved their supremacy and finished the day with 6 gold 4 silvers and 2 bronze medals in the regional competition of five-nation including Pakistan, Bangladesh, Sri Lanka and Nepal. Pakistan were the second and Bangladesh third. Idrees Rasheed won the bronze medal in the 10-meter Air Pistol Men's individual competitions. He aggregated 668 points to get third place while Indian shooter Bapu Vanjare claimed gold medal with 674.5 points followed by compatriot Om Parkash get silver medal with 668.7 points. It was close contest between the silver medalist and bronze medalist.
