Rawalpindi - A 40-year-old man died and eight others sustained critical injuries in two different traffic mishaps here on Sunday.
Rescue 1122 shifted the dead and the injured to District Headquarters (DHQ) Hospital for post mortem and treatment.
According to details, a vehicle hit a motorcycle at Katcheri Chowk. Resultantly, a rider namely Basharat Maseh, son of Barkat Maseh, a resident of Lahore, died on the spot, while Arshad Maseh received injuries. Upon calling, Rescue 1122 rushed to the accident site and shifted the dead body and the injured to DHQ Hospital. In the second road traffic mishap, some seven passengers got injured when a speeding passenger van rammed into footpath near Soan Camp on GT Road.
 All the victims were shifted to DHQ by Rescue 1122 for medical treatment.
