I-8 residents seek water filtration plant

ISLAMABAD(APP)- The residents of sector I-8/1 have demanded of Capital Development Authority to install water filtration plant on the tubewell functional in front of Mughal Market. A large number of residents from the sectors I-8, I-9 and nearby residential areas of Rawalpindi including Stadium road, Shamsabad and Satellite Town are seen queuing up there with water coolers, bottles and canisters. Many among them were of the opinion that a water filtration plant at the water tubewell would make the drinking water safe for consumers. Shabana Niaz, a housewife carrying a water can, told that they had been waiting for the installation of such facility since long. "The residents of other sectors have easy access to such facility, while in these sectors, water filtration plant has not been installed so far," Ahmed Raza Khan, a retired police officer said.
