Jameel’s poetic collection ‘Chashm-e-Falak’ launched

RAWALPINDI - A book launching ceremony in connection with the collection of verses titled ‘Chashm-e-Falak’ written by Colonel (Retd) Mian Muhammad Jameel Athar was held in the garrison city on Sunday.
While presiding over the ceremony, Justice (Retd) Mian Muhammad Nazir Akhtar said that he studied Chashm-e-Falak from the first page to the end of the book and found that there is height of character and thoughts in the work.
He said that the poet gave a versed form to the facts, saying this creation of Mian Muhammad Jameel Athar has come from the heart and it goes into the hearts of the readers. He added it is not merely the demonstration of intellectuality and for the purpose of fun; rather there is deep insight in the work.
Addressing on the occasion, the speakers said that Mian Muhammad Jameel Athar beautifully and diligently presented his experiences, feelings and sentiments in the versed form, saying that the language of the verses is simple and easily understandable.
They said that there is much for the young generation to get and imbibe from the masterpiece of Mian Muhammad Jameel Athar which is replete with the insight. While appreciating the efforts of Mian Muhammad Jameel Athar, the speakers congratulated him on creation of this masterpiece and expressing their good wishes.
The speakers termed it a splendid addition to the Urdu literature in the world.  Prominent poet Sarfraz Shahid said that Chashm-e-Falak is the collection of higher statements, higher thoughts and higher insight.
The book launching ceremony in connection with the collection of verses titled Chashm-e-Falak written by Colonel (Retd) Mian Muhammad Jameel Athar was held in Rawalpindi under the auspices of Akadmi-e-Adbiyat.
Prominent literary and social personalities Nisar Nasik, Dr Naheed Akhtar, Muzaffar Aslam, Sarfraz Shahid, Syed Maqbool Hussain, Professor Ayub Sabiur, Jameel Yousaf and others participated in the ceremony. While concluding the ceremony, the writer of Chashm-e-Falak Colonel (Retd) Mian Muhammad Jameel Athar thanked all the participants and read out a few verses from his masterpiece. The audience lauded him and the hall resounded with the applause.
