NAB courts performance unsatisfactory: Iftikhar Chaudhry

Chief Justice of Pakistan Iftikhar Mohammed Chaudhry Wednesday said the performance of the Accountability Courts is unsatisfactory. The CJ said this while hearing of the Islamabad Stock Exchange scandal in Supreme Court. The CJ said neither the performance of these courts is satisfactory; nor are the cases being dispensed with speedily. A three-member bench of the apex court headed by the Chief Justice warned the National Accountability Bureau (NAB) on incomplete probe into the Islamabad Stock Exchange scam and demanded the details of the people involved in the scandal by the next hearing of the case. In the previous hearing, the SC demanded the list of those arrested people, against whom no reference was presented. Also, the NAB was directed to present the record of those people who are not being presented before cases despite the cases against them.
