ISLAMABAD - Taking notice of police action against the PTI workers in Lahore, Prime Minister Muhammad Nawaz Sharif Sunday said peaceful protest was an inalienable right of all Pakistanis and political parties and directed the Punjab government to ensure no violation in this regard.
Sources in the ruling Pakistan Muslim League (Nawaz) informed that while talking to Chief Minister Punjab Shahbaz Sharif on telephone, the Premier said democracy and peaceful protests were interlinked. He said the government of Punjab must ensure that no authority creates any impediment in the way of this constitutional right of all citizens including the political parties. He said all issues should be resolved through dialogue.
