RAWALPINDI - The Rawalpindi Cantonment Board (RCB) has forwarded a letter to Civil Aviation Authority (CCA) for no-objection certificate (NOC) to shift the filth depot out of the cantonment areas.
The military finance department of the Ministry of Defence had objected to RCB’s plan to shift its filth depot site out of the cantonment areas.
RCB had planned to procure 180 kanals at Chakri Road for the new garbage dumping site and sent the details to the ministry for approval of the project.
It asked RCB to get NOC from the CAA before procuring the land because the area was located near the New Benazir Bhutto International Airport at Fatehjang.
