SC dissatisfied over govt’s report on Quetta carnage
 
 
 

The Supreme Court of Pakistan on Tuesday heard the suo moto notice regarding Quetta carnage and termed government’s report on the incident dissatisfactory.
The Supreme Court has directed the concerned authorities to apprehend elements involved in sabotage activities in Balochistan.
A three-member of the apex court headed by Chief Justice Iftikhar Mohammad Chaudhry observed that none of the court orders on Balochistan situation were implemented by the provincial government.
A report was submitted in the court about the Quetta tragedy stating that checking and security has been tightened in Balochistan. It also stated that the security personnel number has been increased.
At which the CJP, the bench said reasons behind killings in Quetta as well as Balochistan were not mentioned by government officers in their report. It ordered that arrested persons should be put under trial.
The court directed Chief Secretary Balochistan, Secretary Defense and IG Frontier Constabulary (FC) to submit a comprehensive report on steps taken by the officials to improve law and order and round up the culprits involved in the Quetta carnage. 
The court later adjourned the hearing of the case till the 6th of next month.
