Chaudhry Abdul Majeed has been elected as the Prime Minister of Azad Jammu and Kashmir. Pakistan Peoples Party candidate Chaudhry Abdul Majeed won after securing 35 votes. His opponent, Pakistan Muslim League nominee Farooq Haider received 11 votes. This is the third time that PPPP has managed to form the government in AJK in 15 years.
