‘JC report boosts dignity of national institutions’

Islamabad - Federal Information Minister Senator Pervaiz Rashid said on Saturday that Judicial Commission’s report enhanced the dignity and respect of national institutions.
Reacting to the press conference of Pakistan Tehrik-e-Insaf Chief Imran Khan, the information minister said that people now had realised that PTI wasted precious time of two years of the nation in the name of so-called rigging in election. He said the Judicial Commission provided opportunity to PTI to prove allegations of election’s rigging but it failed to prove its claims. The minister said that PML-N never demanded of PTI chairman to apologise. He said the Election Commission of Pakistan’s weaknesses faced all parties in the general election.
Mushahidullah Khan, Minister for Climate Change while sharing his views with The Nation on Imran Khan’s press conference on JC report said that PML-N did not demand Imran Khan to apologise after issuing the JC report.
He mentioned that PTI Chairman attempted to destabilide the country through sit-ins on non-issues. He said that Imran Khan damaged the Pakistan’ economy and PTI’s sit-in was a big hurdle in economic corridor’s signing ceremony. He said that the PTI’s sit-in caused delay in Chinese President’s visit to Pakistan. He that said Imran Khan should apologise to the nation because he violated the constitution by attacking the national institutions, including the National Assembly, Senate of Pakistan and Pakistan Television. He said that PTI chief misguided the innocent people and collected billion of rupees in the name of launching the “Civil disobedience movement” against the government.
Mushahidullah was not hopeful that PTI would play its role as an active opposition party in the parliament in future.
He said that Imran Khan caused immense damage to democracy in Pakistan during the last two years, therefore, he should be answerable to the nation.
Talking to The Nation, PML-N leader Talal Chaudhry said that he was greatly disappointed by Pakistan Tehrik-e-Insaf Chief Imran’s demand that Prime Minister Nawaz Shari should apologise to the nation. He said that the Judicial Commission report declared general election 2013 free of rigging and gave clean chit to the ruling party.
He said that PML-N believes in politics of reconciliation and Prime Minister Nawaz Sharif always tried to move forward by taking all political parties into confidence on all national issues. Replying to question, he said that PTI did not play its role for strengthening of democracy in the country. He said the PTI chairman should tender apology to the nation and must respect the PM-L mandate and play his role for better future of Pakistan.
