Construction of judicial complex completes






RAWALPINDI  - Construction work of Rawalpindi Model Court Complex has been completed while control of the complex would be given to the District and Session Judge Rawalpindi in next five days.
The complex would house 48 larger courts while all four accountability courts, including Special Judge central, consumer courts, Drug courts and custom courts would be shifted to the complex after the shifting of larger courts.  The model complex is first of its nature in the country, fully air-conditioned built on 82 Kanal of land and it meets all standard of modern construction.
New library and Lawyers club have been setup in the complex while separate chambers for judges were established in the judicial complex. The construction of the complex was carried out with the finical assistance of Federal and provincial government and Asian Development Bank.
Residential facilities are provided in the judicial colony behind the Judicial complex while several local court judges have already shifted to their respective residents in the colony.
Meanwhile, Chief Justice of Pakistan, Justice Iftikhar Muhammad Chaudhry would inaugurate the complex while chief justice Lahore High Court  (LHC) Umer Atta Bandial would also participate in the inaugural ceremony. It is pertinent to mention that the former president, General Retd Pervez Musharraf had approved the judicial complex.
