Rawalpindi City Traffic Police initiates operation against violators

RAWALPINDI: At least 12, 740 vehicles were challaned during an operation conducted by the city traffic police against the motorists who violated the traffic rules.

The rising issue of traffic violation is a nuisance for both the violator and those affected. Bikes, cars, rickshaws and other vehicles parked in the no parking zone has become a common sight. The city traffic police launched an operation to put an end to this issue.

At least 12,740 drivers were issued challans of Rs. 5.4 million for violating the traffic rules while 327 rickshaws and motorbikes were taken to the police stations for not having complete documents including vehicle registration and driving licenses.
