Islamabad- Federal Board of Intermediate and Secondary Education (FBISE) yesterday organised a workshop on assessment and examination for the qualitative improvement of examination system.
The FBISE invited Director Assessment, Cambridge International Examination (CIE) Roderic Gillespie to deliver the lecture on topic.
The lecture of CIE official was delicately focused on the scope and setting of various syllabi, their logical progression, question paper setting techniques and parameters, preparation of marking scheme, reliable marking and valid conversion of marks into grades.
On this occasion, the chairman FBISE briefed about the recent initiatives undertaken by the FBISE for qualitative improvement of examination system with major focus on capacity building of all stakeholders. Shortcomings in the existing system were also highlighted along with proposed road map to rectify the same in near future.
FBISE master trainers, paper setters and markers in the subject of English, physics, chemistry, biology and mathematics along with senior educationists and officers participated in the workshop.
The CIE representatives assured full support for improvement in examination of the FBISE.
