AIOU extends date for admissions

ISLAMABAD - Allama Iqbal Open University (AIOU) has extended its admissions date for the Semester Autumn, 2012 with late fee charges up to 5th September.
According to Director Admissions, the admission forms and prospectuses for all programmes from Matric to MA/M.Sc level being offered in Semester Autumn 2012 are available from the sale points at Main Campus, Regional Campuses and Coordinating Offices within the country. The admission forms and prospectus for SSC, HSSC and BA level programmes for Pakistanis in the Middle East can be downloaded from the University website www.aiou.edu.pk.  He further said that the sale points will remain open on Saturday and Sunday also.
He said that M.Sc programme is being offered in Economic, Pakistan Studies, Gender & Women Studies and M.Com (Accounting & Finance). MBA with specializations in HRM, Marketing Management, IT Management and Banking & Finance while the international 90-credit programme COL MBA/MPA is being offered in collaboration with Commonwealth of Learning, Canada. He said that MA in Arabic, Islamic Studies and Urdu while Post Graduate Diplome (Gender & Women Studies) are also included. In Bachelor”s programmes, BS (Computer Science), Bachelor of Mass Communication,NBachelor of Arts in Library and Information Science, Bachelor of Commerce, Bachelor of Arts and Associate degree in Commerce (Accounting & Finance) and (Banking and Finance) are being offered. In Teacher Training Programme, the admissions in B.Ed programme is  also being offered.
The admissions of FA, I.Com, FSc (Pre-Engineering), F.Sc (Pre-Medical), SSC (Matrric), Dars-e-Nizami in BA (Shahadat-ul-Alia), Secondary (Sanvia Aama), Higher Secondary (Sanvia Khasa), six months duration of Certificate Courses, Agricultural Certificate Courses, Open Tech Courses and Short Terms Educational Programmes have also been included.
Admission forms alongwith prescribed fee can be deposited in all branches of Habib Bank Ltd., First Women Bank, Bank Alfalah and Allied Bank as well as in the nominated branches of National Bank of Pakistan and Muslim Commercial Bank.
