NA body okays Rs 28.46m for PSDP 2015-16

Islamabad - A parliamentary panel approved the proposed amount of Rs 28.46 million for the next financial year 2015-16 for the Public Sector Development Programme (PSDP) of health ministry.
The budgetary proposal regarding PSDP for the next financial year was put before the National Assembly Standing Committee on National Health Services, Regulations and Coordination for approval.
The committee after discussion approved the proposal for the next year.  
The committee met Thursday under the chairmanship of MNA Khalid Hussain Magsi to discuss PSDP budgetary proposals of the ministry.
The Committee was informed that the federal government till the current NFC Award of June 2015 would fund the entire vertical health programme, according to CCI decision. After June 2015 all the provinces will develop their own PC-1 of their own vertical programmes and federal government will be responsible only for federating areas.
The important projects included in FY 2015-16 were Establishment of Cancer Hospital in Islamabad, Establishment of Bio-safety Level-3 Laboratories Public Health NIH, and Establishment of National Resource Centre for Raw Material, Traditional Medicine, and NIH.
