CTP launch drive against professional beggars


RAWALPINDI  - City Traffic police have launched a comprehensive campaign against the professional beggars during the Ramazan here on Thursday. Chief Traffic Officer (CTO), Ishtiaq Hussain Shah said that professional beggars would not be allowed to cheat the general public adding that strict action will be taken against them. CTO said the increasing trend of professional beggars must be discouraged adding that it is our moral and religious duty that we should give alms to those who deserve.“Since the Ramazan has started, groups of professional beggars have crowded the markets, shopping malls, roundabouts for begging. The concept of beggary is now emerged as a business,” said Adeel Mirza, a resident of Banni.
