Man shot dead in Rawalpindi

Rawalpindi - Unknown motorcyclists shot dead one person here yesterday and sped away from the crime scene.
Rescue sources said that unidentified motorcycle riders sprayed bullets at a man near Marreer Bridge in Rawalpindi, killing him on the spot and managed to flee. The body was moved to hospital for medico-legal formalities and the police after registering a case against unknown murderers have started the investigation.
Meanwhile, police arrested a fraudulent woman, besides recovery of over two million rupees from her possession during a raid, yesterday. The police on a tip-off conducted a raid in Pindora Chungi locality of Rawalpindi during which a woman involved in fraud cases in Pakistan and abroad and wanted by police in several cases was apprehended.
The police also managed to recover Rs 2,100,000 from possession of the detainee who was being interrogated after registering a case against her at the respective police station.
It should be mentioned here that husband of the nabbed accused is already in custody of Federal Investigation Agency (FIA) in a case of financial fraud. They couple had reportedly after committing a fraud of foreign currency equivalent to rupees ten million abroad returned back to the country sometime back.
