ISLAMABAD - First meeting of Institutional Scholarships Award Committee of the International Islamic University, Islamabad (IIUI) was held at the new campus of the university.
Prof. Dr. Ahmad Yousif Al-Draiweesh presided over the meeting while Shoaib Murad, Director Scholarship, Higher Education Commission (HEC), Islamabad, Hajira Sohail, Project Director Need Based Scholarship and Tariq Ghumman, Divisional Head, Allied Bank North were also present on the occasion.
Briefing the meeting, Director Finance IIUI Khurshid Alam said that after much investigation 238 needy students were selected under this scheme who would be granted Rs. 6000/- as tuition fee to each, till the completion of their degrees.
Dr. Ahmad Yousif Al-Draiweesh appreciated this scheme of HEC and expressed his appreciation over HEC cooperation with IIUI.
He also expressed the desire to increase the amount of this scheme, while HEC officials lauded the efforts of Dept. of Finance of IIUI and assured all possible cooperation.
