Another polio case from NWA confirmed

Islamabad - A new polio case of North Waziristan Agency was confirmed by National Institute of Health on Wednesday after six months. A seven-month-old male child from tehsil Mir Ali paralysed after contracting poliovirus. According to officials, the sample was collected when the child was in Peshawar.
With the new case, total cases of this year have risen to 24 with FATA 7 cases, Khyber Pakhtunkhwa 10 cases, Sindh 4 cases, and Balochistan 3 cases. No case has been reported so far from Punjab or Gilgit-Baltistan.
