Admiral Zaka witnesses navy manoeuvres

ISLAMABAD - Chief of Naval Staff Admiral Muhammad Zakaullah on Thursday, witnessed wide ranging naval manoeuvres in North Arabian Sea by variety of Pakistan Navy combat platforms.
The Admiral who was on his maiden visit to the Naval Fleet since assuming command of Pakistan Navy closely watched the daylong conduct of various exercises at sea. The Naval Forces demonstrated a range of maritime warfare operations against traditional and non-traditional threats including counter terrorism and anti-piracy drills, live weapon firing and anti-air warfare procedures.
According to a statement of Pakistan Navy, the Admiral lauded the high operational readiness of the fleet units and urged upon the officers and men to be cognizant of the complex security environment and changing operational dictates which warrant optimum readiness at all times.
He further added that future naval conflict is likely to be characterized by intense multi-dimensional operations which demand seamless integration of both intra and inter services operational plans. He said that Pakistan Navy will continue to make all out efforts to ensure maritime security and stability in North Arabian Sea.
Earlier on his arrival, the Admiral was received by Commander Pakistan Fleet Vice Admiral Z M Abbasi.
