Depleted Faqeer AP Road irks commuters

ISLAMABAD – Faqeer AP Road has been depleted at various places creating problems for the commuters of twin cities of Islamabad and Rawalpindi.
Sources said the Capital Development Authority (CDA) is acting as a silent spectator and has turned blind to the issue.
According to details, Faqeer AP Road, which emerges from the IJ Principal Road, has cracks at various points. Due to the recent rains, the cracked segments of the road have turned into sort of ponds.
It is difficult for the pedestrians to walk on the road due to water stagnant on the road.
The citizens have demanded of Capital Development Authority to start repair of Faqeer AP Road at the earliest to rid the travellers from further difficulties.  When this agency contacted spokesperson CDA, Masood-ur-Rehman to take his stance on the issue, he said reconstruction of Faqeer AP Road is on the priority list of Director Roads of CDA. As soon as the funds are released for the project, renovation of the Faqeer AP Road will be started, he maintained.
