28 outlaws held in capital

ISLAMABAD - Islamabad police have arrested 28 outlaws from various areas of the city and recovered two stolen bikes, 2.225 kilograms hashish, 25 litres wine and weapons from their possession, a police spokesman said yesterday.
He said that Islamabad police started special checking following directions from SSP Sajid Kiani and recovered cache of wine, drugs and weapons from 28 outlaws. Khanna police arrested two bike lifters Umer Naqash and Hasnain, and recovered two bikes from them while another accused Faheem Abbassi was held for having 500 grams hashish.
Bhara Kahu police apprehended a theft accused Ejaz while a female Taj Gohar was nabbed by Bhara Kahu police for having 1.225 kilograms hashish.
Karachi Company police recovered 25 litres of wine during patrolling while Industrial Area police arrested Haneef and Talha for having a 30-bore pistol and its ammunition.
Sabzi Mandi police arrested Abdul Shakoor for having 30-bore pistols while an Afghan national Emal Khan was nabbed for residing illegally in the country.
Aabpara police team arrested three women Bashiran Bibi, Jameela Bibi and Ramzania Bibi for their involvement in dacoity and recovered snatched cash from their possession. Noon police held one Waheed for having 120 grams heroin. Shehzad Town police arrested an accused Muhammad Riaz and recovered one 30-bore illicit pistol from him. Nilor police arrested accused Zubair Shah and Muhammad Shahbaz and recovered one bottle of wine from their possession.
Lohi Bher police arrested a drug pusher Muhammad Farid and recovered 500 grams hashish from him. Cases have been registered against the accused and further investigation is underway. Furthermore police teams arrested 10 professional alms-seekers from various areas of the city. SSP Islamabad Sajid Kiani has said the purpose of this vigilance is to ensure foolproof security in the city. He further directed all police officers to continue it.
