ISLAMABAD - Spokesperson for the Prime Minister, Federal Government and Minister for Information and Broadcasting Senator Pervaiz Rashid has negated the impression that the assets of Prime Minister Muhammad Nawaz Sharif rose substantially.
In a statement on Saturday, he clarified that people were confusing the cost of assets and its present value. It was very natural that value of already acquired assets, both movable and immovable, increased over a period of time and hence, there was no point of discussion, he added.
Referring to a statement of Munawar Hassan, Ameer Jamaat-e-Islami, Senator Pervaiz Rashid said he was wrongly advised by his party colleagues which led to incorrect statements.
“I hope that he will refrain from unsubstantiated and wrong statements which belittle his image in the country and within his party,” the minister added.
