Two killers, auto-thieves arrested





ISLAMABAD – Islamabad Police have arrested 10 outlaws from various areas of the city and recovered stolen cars, bike, fake number plates, weapons and stolen items from their possession, a police spokesman said on Saturday.
According to details, Station House Officer of Margallah police station Inspector Muhammad Hussain Lasi along with police team including ASI Ehsan Ullah and others arrested a car thief Sher Khan and recovered two stolen cars (AFX-994, Karachi M-4902) from him. ASI Shafqat Mehmud arrested two drunkards Wajid Ali, Salar Khan and also recovered two pistols from them. Sub-Inspector Muneer Ahmed from Sihala police station along with team arrested two proclaimed offenders Zabi Ullah s/o Muhammad Umar and Haqdar Ali residents of Mehmand agency wanted to police in a murder case. They decamped after shooting dead Fehad Ullah over old enmity on August 3, 2010 in Sihala area and police also recovered two 30 bore pistols from them.
Sub-Inspector Muhammad Athar Khan from Sabzi Mandi police team arrested two thieves Iftikhar, Abdul Hadi and recovered stolen motorbike, registration books as well as fake number plates from them. Meanwhile, a pick pocket Nadir Khan was arrested by Sabzi Manid police besides recovery of two mobiles and Rs. 20,000 from him.
Koral police arrested a fraudster Tariq while another accused Saqib Khan was arrested for having 30 bore pistol. Cases have been registered against these nabbed persons and further investigation is underway from them.
Inspector General of Police Islamabad Bani Amin Khan has appreciated this overall performance and directed all police officials to ensure effective policing in their respective jurisdictions.
