Sasta bazaar in G-7 soon

ISLAMABAD"Chief Commissioner Hamid Ali Khan Friday directed the Magistrates and District Health Officer ICT Dr Amirzada Khan to carry out checking of the food items samples regularly especially atta and milk to ensure the quality of food stuff. He said ICT administration has finalized the arrangements regarding setting up sasta bazaar in G-7 and rural areas including setting up 35 fair price shops in city and rural areas for providing the food commodities to the citizens at cheaper rates as compare to the market rate. Maximum relief on food items would be provided to the people during the month of Ramazaan, he added. Hamid Ali Khan told that all these arrangements have been made with co-operation of all stake holders including fruit and vegetable associations, flour mills associations, Dal Ghee mills associations, Poultry associations and meat sellers association. Food items would be available at 10 to 15% reduced rates at these faire price shops and sasta bazaars as compared to the market rate Meanwhile, the administration also fixed rates of certain food items under the special Ramazan relief package for the sasta bazaar s and fair price shops. 20 kg atta bags would be available at Rs365- at the fair price shops and in sasta bazaar; it would be available at Rs300. Similarly beef would be available at Rs110per kg and Mutton would be available at Rs250per kg in sasta bazaar. Dal Chana would be available at Rs55 per kg in sasta bazaar and at Rs56per kg at fair price shops. Basin would be available at Rs61 per kg in sasta bazaar and at fair price shop it would be available at Rs63 per kg. ACP Ghee would be available at Rs115 per kg in sasta bazaar and at fair price shops it would be available at Rs122 per kg.
