The JUI-F chief Maulana Fazlur Rehman has predicted that PTI’s government in Khyber Pakhtunkhwa (KPK) would fall within one and a half months and there would not be any need for a vote of no confidence.
Talking to media persons outside the Parliament House on Friday, the JUI-F chief warned that there is a danger that KPK would not be part of the federation if the present government remained in power in the province.
In reply to a question he said the government has prioritized talks with Taliban and prepared a blue print for this purpose. He said there is complete understanding between the government and the establishment for dialogue which could begin next month and hoped that these would be productive.
To another question, he said the energy crisis has been overcome to some extent but the popularity of the PML-N government has also gone down due to problems faced by the country.
Fazlur Rehman said Nawaz Sharif has the capability and capacity to remain prime minister of the country for five years.
He was of the opinion that Kalabagh Dam was not a political but technical issue and should be decided on technical basis. He said KBD was wrongly given a political slogan. He favoured construction of new small dams for generation of electricity at provincial level.
He said Karachi is a political issue which could be resolved by all the political parties by mutual consultation and understanding.
The JUI-F chief expressed concern over the situation in Muslim world terming the situation in Syria as part of international conspiracy. He said there is war like situation in the Middle East and due to situation in Egypt, the Arab world has been divided. He said Iran should also reconsider its policy saying that Iranian revolution has been restricted to a particular sect.
