Seven Pakistanis to feature in British Jr Squash

ISLAMABAD - Pakistan's seven players will leave for Manchester on Tuesday (today) to take part in the British Junior Squash Championship which will roll off from January 2 at Sheffield, England. The contingent will embark on a flight from Benazir Bhutto Saheed International Airport, Islamabad. Pakistan will compete in three boys and one girls' event of the six-day international junior fixture. The championship is an annual fixture that is being held regularly in Sheffield. Around 500 teenager boys and girls will fight for the top honours in the various age group categories competitions. An official of Pakistan Squash Federation (PSF) told The Nation here on Monday that boys would compete in three categories Under-19, Under-17 and Under-15 while only girl Maria Toor would take part in Under-19 fixture. "We selected two each boys for all three categories competitions. Ali Bukhari, Bilal Zakir, Danish Atlas Khan, Nasir Iqbal, Waqar Mehbbob and Shoaib Hasan are visiting abroad," he maintained.
