Govt committed to develop Capital: Sakhi




ISLAMABAD - The government is committed for the expeditious development of the federal capital and all-out support to the CDA Administration would be extended for the purpose.
Chief Coordinator of the Prime Minister on Islamabad affairs Faisal Sakhi Butt said this while talking to a delegation of CDA Welfare Association (COWA), which called on him here on Tuesday.
Chairman COWA Mansoor Ahmed Khan led the delegation, which also includes its Vice Chairman Ghulam Sarwar Sindhu, President Syed Imran Shah, Secretary General Riaz Ahmed Randhawa and Deputy Secretary General Syed Haseen Raza Zaidi. The delegation of the COWA congratulated Faisal Sakhi Butt for his appointment as a Chief Coordinator to the Prime Minister and appreciated his efforts for the development and upkeep of the city.
The Chairman COWA said that as the Chairman of the Task Force he has always supported the CDA Officers for resolving the civic issues and betterment of the city. He said that some pressure groups are pressuring the CDA officers and interfering in the official business of the Authority. He said that many of them misuse the name of the politicians from this region for their personal benefits and gains.
Speaking to the delegation, Butt called upon the officers of the CDA to streamline the system and adopt the procedures for early redressal of the public grievances. He said that no one should be allowed to pressurize the officers for doing anything illegal. He asked all the associations to give a strong message to all the officers of the Authority that nothing should be done against merit and rules and those misusing the name of politicians should be discouraged. He said that the Prime Minister has always taken keen interest in the development and better upkeep of the city and has tasked him to ensure early redressal of the civic issues to facilitate the residents.
