Pakistan name squad for Commonwealth Games

ISLAMABAD - Pakistan has finalised 24-member contingent comprising 16 athletes and eight officials for the third Commonwealth Youth Games, which would be held from October 12-18 at Pune, India.   Joint Secretary of Ministry of Sports Muhammad Anwar Khan will be the head of green shirts contingent, which will leave for India on October 9 to participate in the top junior's sports event of the year 2008. National outfits will compete in five sports disciplines including athletics, swimming, wrestling, weightlifting and table tennis. However, teenager girls will also participate in two disciplines including swimming and table tennis.
