ANF foils bid to smuggle heroin to Dubai

ISLAMABAD - The Anti-Narcotics Force (ANF) foiling attempt to smuggle hundred heroin-filled capsules to Dubai, arrested a Nigerian national from the federal capital’s airport, media reports said on Monday. According to the ANF officials, the Nigerian entered Islamabad’s international terminal to leave for Abu Dhabi Monday morning. Spotting his suspicious behaviour, the officials passed him through the special scanners at the ANF booth, which revealed the fact that he is carrying heroin in his stomach.
During the course of interrogation, he confessed having hundred capsules of heroin in his stomach. On this, he was shifted to Benazir Bhutto Hospital to take the capsules out.
The ANF formed teams to arrest the other cohorts. The teams have started functioning.
It should be mentioned here the heroin is being said to be worth millions of rupees in the international market.
