ISLAMABAD - Federal Investigation Agency’s (FIA’s) Cyber Crime Wing along with Kohsar Police personnel raided the house of former cleric of Lal Masjid Maulana Abdur Rashid Ghazi on Friday night after it got a hacking complaint.
However, the officials did not confiscate the personal computer and other related equipments under the use of children of Maulaan Ghazi.
An official of the FIA’s National Response Center for Cyber Crime (NR3C) informed that Maulana Ghazi’s family was questioned over the use of internet from their personal computer. He further said that NR3C received a hacking complaint and later location of the internet connection was searched out and that was the residence of Maulana Ghazi. According to FIA sources, the family members of Maulana Ghazi severely protested over the raid conducted by the FIA officials. They said Maulana Abdul Aziz, the chief cleric of Lal Masjid and Ghazi Rashid’s elder brother, immediately contacted the high-ups of the Interior Ministry to lodge his protest with them. The family members protested over the way the officials entered the house and disturbed the privacy.
