As many as 44 suspects including four foreigners were arrested by police during a search operation, informed sources here on Saturday.
The search operation was carried out by police under surveillance of SSP (Operations) Karamat Ullah Malik on the orders of City Police Officer Israr Ahmed Khan Abbasi, they said.
According to sources, massive search operation was conducted by police in the areas of police stations Waris Khan, Cannt, Gujar Khan and Civil Line to purge the localities of suspects. Police held 44 suspects including 4 foreigners from the precincts of PS Waris Khan and shifted them to lockup for further investigation.
