The government has decided to take strict action against the misuse of Watan Cards by flood victims. It has come to notice of interior ministry that certain flood victims had sold their Watan Card at Rs 20,000 and the user of such Watan Cards would be arrested and charged under fraud act. The flood affected people are getting Rs 20,000 on Watan Card as well as assistance of Rs 80,0000 for their rehabilitation. Interior Minister A Rehman Malik has said that NADRA made it possible for the government to have data of flood affected people and issue them assistance in a shortest record time.
